Reflection Point:
Caleb's commitment to the Lord was honored by God.
While others doubted, he believed that God's promises would be fulfilled.
Everyone, except Caleb and Joshua, who was sent to spy out the new
territory, saw the riches of the land that the Lord spoke of. They also
saw the giants who made them feel like grasshoppers. While others turned
from God at this point, Caleb obeyed His commandments. His commitment paid
off, for he received his mountain.
Devotion:
You need not worry about whether your commitment to
the Lord is the proper decision to make. As you follow His directions and
obey His word, His promises will be fulfilled in your life. Others may
doubt, but continue to walk in faith. Your commitment will pay dividends.
